DAMI, EMM Team Up for 2023 Webinar Series

Webinar Series Will Serve to Inform Industry Professionals on the

State of Diversity in Asset Management

Robert Raben, Matt Mccue, EMM DAMI

The first webinar will take place on Wednesday, February 15, and will feature a facilitated discussion between DAMI executive director, Robert Raben and EMM managing director, Matt McCue. To kick off the series, Raben and McCue will provide an industry overview on the state of DEI in asset management, and forecast industry trends and progress.

In partnership with Emerging Managers Monthly (EMM), The Diverse Asset Managers Initiative (DAMI) is launching a webinar series over the course of the year to inform financial services professionals on the state of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the asset management industry.

It's no secret that diverse asset managers are severely underrepresented among the managers hired by institutional investors, and, while there is a critical mass of high performing diverse asset managers, there is an inadequate demand for their services. DAMI's goal of changing the culture of the asset management field would not be possible without the insight, and input, of financial services professionals, institutional investors, corporate and philanthropic board members and trade associations committed to raising awareness among institutional investors about the benefits and opportunities of investing funds with diverse-owned asset management firms.

That's why we're launching our webinar series with EMM – the only publication that focuses exclusively on emerging and diverse asset managers. Each webinar, made possible by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, will be centered around different topics, including the different assets managed by diverse managers, and thoughtful ways to improve the pipeline for diverse managers.
