DAMI to Congress: Colleges Prioritize Tax Breaks Over Diversity

September 16, 2022 - Today, DAMI sent a letter to Rep. Joyce Beatty, Rep. Maxine Waters, Rep. Gregory Meeks, and Rep. Emanuel Cleaver slamming colleges for prioritizing tax breaks over diversity.

As the letter explains, for years, the most wealthy colleges and universities have pushed Congress to eliminate the excise tax created by the 2017 tax overhaul. And yet, they refuse to engage meaningfully on the diversity of their asset managers.
